Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

Job Role Summary
The Community Engagement Liaison assists with planning, organizing, successful community engagement activities, that support Eskenazi Health's strategic communications goals. Serving as a liaison with various community organizations and building relationships that support the mission and brand of Eskenazi Health.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Coordinate, plan, host or participate in a variety of Eskenazi Health- sponsored events that positively support community relations objectives to build public awareness and increase support for the organization. These events include health fairs, activities for clinics, programs and special events.
• May provide general support to help create strategic communications materials needed for all health promotion activities including signage, displays, fliers, etc.
• Receive and review requests from the community for Eskenazi Health’s participation in health fairs and other community events (summer programs, back-to-school events, etc.). As well as coordinate, set up and tear down of each events.
• May serve as liaison between Eskenazi Health and Eskenazi Health Center (EHC) to coordinate hospital resources available to the EHCs for community engagement activities.
• Serve on various community engagement related committees at Eskenazi Health and EHCs.
• Works closely with the other departments to track Eskenazi Health’s annual participation in health promotion activities and submit information to the health fair database.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for community partnerships.
• Coordinate and track involvement in various events being sponsored by Eskenazi Health, including ensuring that all sponsorship benefits are activated and fulfilled. Work with event organizers to maximize Eskenazi Health’s presence.
• Receive and monitor requests for Eskenazi Health promotional items by the community; provide supplies according to department policy. Track usage and benefit and report on a quarterly basis. Assist with ordering and storage as needed of new supplies that support Eskenazi Health’s communications objectives.
• Compile data and create reports and dashboards representing Eskenazi Health’s community engagement program.
• Respond to various requests from patients and the community for health-related literature and other requests.
• Maintain an annual calendar of events and activities in which Eskenazi Health is participating.
• May support Latino community activities and programs.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field, business, communications, marketing, public relations or related discipline.
• A minimum of two years of successful experience in marketing related work, preferably in a health care setting. Health promotions experience highly desired.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish strongly preferred
